Q: What is The Power of Collaboration Summit?

The Power of Collaboration Summit is a two-day conference, presented by ESG, consisting of the brightest minds in energy. It takes place on September 28-29, 2017. Leaders in energy from all over the country come together to discuss current industry trends, network with fellow utilities and other orgs, and influence the future of energy efficiency.

Q: How much does the event cost?

In appreciation of your joining us for this event, The 2017 Summit is free! All you’re responsible for is travel costs (airfare, ground transportation, and hotel room). We’ll take care of the rest. ESG has reserved a block of rooms at the Embassy Suites San Diego Bay – Downtown at a discounted rate for you to take advantage of.

Training is available at $500 per person for the entire day of training.

Q: What’s included in the event?

ESG provides a welcome reception, two breakfasts, two lunches, and all TPOC lectures and discussions. In addition, a hosted dinner on Thursday and a catamaran harbor cruise on Friday evening.

Q: What discussion topics will there be?

Keynote speakers will discuss the future of ESG’s EECP and current energy industry trends. However, the Summit is designed to be collaborative and group-led, so we’re asking for your input as we craft our agenda. Tell us what you want to talk about!

Q: How do we get to the Summit?

The Power of Collaboration Summit takes place in San Diego, CA. The conference will be hosted by San Diego Gas & Electric at their facilities. The conference facilities are a short uber or cab ride away. The nearest airport is San Diego International Airport (SAN). Click here for ground transportation options to San Diego.

Q: When should we get there?

While the Summit officially begins on the morning of September 28th, ESG will be hosting a casual welcome reception on the evening of September 27th at the Embassy Suites hotel that you are welcome to attend. We do recommend arriving on the 27th, since the Summit starts first thing the next morning. Additionally, we will be hosting an optional training session on the 27th if you and your team wish to participate.

Q: Where should we stay once we get there?

ESG has negotiated a great rate for you at the Embassy Suites in downtown San Diego. A daily shuttle to the summit will pick you up from the entrance. The hotel address is:

Q: Do I need a car?

Probably not. Other than the ten-minute trip between the airport and the hotel, you’re pretty much taken care of. A plethora of great restaurants and shopping are within walking distance of the hotel, including San Diego’s famous Gas Lamp district. The conference facilities are a short uber or cab ride away.

If you do choose to rent a car, the hotel only offers valet parking at $50/night.

Q: What’s the dress code?

Business casual is appropriate for the welcome reception and daily events.
