Q: What is The Power of Collaboration Summit?

The Power of Collaboration Summit is a two-day conference, presented by ESG, consisting of the brightest minds in energy. It takes place on September 19-20, 2018. Leaders in energy from all over the country come together to discuss current industry trends, network with fellow utilities and other orgs, and influence the future of energy efficiency.

Q: How much does the event cost?

In appreciation of your joining us for this event, The 2018 Summit is free! All you’re responsible for is travel costs (airfare, ground transportation, and hotel room). We’ll take care of the rest. ESG has reserved a block of rooms at the Sawyer Hotel in downtown Sacramento at a discounted rate for you to take advantage of.

Training is available on Tuesday, September 18, at a cost of $500 per person for the entire day of training. We had great feedback from this offering last year and look forward to working personally with you to make our products even more valuable to your team!

Q: What’s included in the event?

ESG provides a welcome reception, two breakfasts, two lunches, and all TPOC lectures and discussions. As an extra bonus, we’ll also host a local outing on the second day of the conference. Stay tuned for details!

Q: What discussion topics will there be?

Keynote speakers will discuss the future of ESG’s EECP and current energy industry trends. However, the Summit is designed to be collaborative and group-led, so we’re asking for your input as we craft our agenda. Tell us what you want to talk about!

Q: How do we get to the Summit?

The Power of Collaboration Summit takes place in downtown Sacramento, CA. The Sawyer Hotel, where we’ll be hosting the event, is a short 15-minute Uber or cab ride away from the airport. The nearest airport is Sacramento International Airport (SMF).

Q: When should we get there?

While the Summit officially begins on the morning of September 19th, ESG will host a casual welcome reception on the evening of September 18th at the Sawyer Hotel that you are welcome to attend. We do recommend arriving on the 18th, since the Summit starts first thing the next morning. Additionally, we will be hosting an optional training session on the 18th if you and your team wish to participate.

Q: Where should we stay once we get there?

ESG has negotiated a great rate for you at the super-centralized, luxuriously outfitted Sawyer Hotel. The conference is inside the hotel, so it doesn’t get more convenient than that. The hotel address is:

Q: Do I need a car?

If you are attending training on the 18th, you may want to rent a car to travel to and from training. Ride-sharing apps such as Uber are available if you prefer not to rent a car. If you are not attending training, a car probably isn’t necessary; other than the short trip between the airport and the hotel, you’re pretty much taken care of. A plethora of great restaurants, shopping, and attractions are within walking distance of the hotel, including Sacramento’s famous Golden 1 Center behind the hotel and the Old Sacramento district three blocks away on the riverfront.

If you do choose to rent a car, the hotel offers parking for $15/night.

Q: What’s the dress code?

Business casual is appropriate for the welcome reception and daily events.
